Elementary Music Class
Ms. Dadez graduated from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls where she received a Bachelors Degree in K-12 Music Education. She has been teaching for over six years and is starting her third year at St. Croix Central Elementary in Roberts, WI.
Her goal as a teacher is to encourage students make creative connections through musical experiences and to help students see how all subjects are connected through cross-curricular collaboration. She draws educational material from many different music pedagogies, but primarily uses the active music-making approach to teaching elemental music known as Orff-Schulwerk. Through this approach students in her class will regularly engage in music through singing, saying, playing, moving, and composing while continuously learning how to read, write, and analyze music. This holistic approach to music education teaches students how to engage in many musically creative endeavors while also developing universal skills necessary for success both in and out of the classroom.
She currently lives in River Falls where she enjoys going for hikes, playing piano, cooking, and reading. In addition to teaching in Augusta, Ms. Dadez also works as the Visual Director of the Hudson High School Marching Band and teaches private piano lessons out of her home.
